Kofi-PianimeTranzact, the multi-application and multi-channel electronic and mobile payment processing platform, has appointed Kofi Pianim – a Project Management and Information Communication Technology professional, as General Manager in charge of Business, Financial Services.

Taking effect from the beginning of this month, Mr. Pianim – with more than two decades’ experience in the development and implementation of enterprise solutions, is expected to help the company expand its frontiers in newer markets.

His project management skills cover a wide range of projects with ownership from the public to the private sector. He also has extensive experience in alternate distribution using large databases from banks in tele-sales/tele-marketing campaigns.

He is a strong advocate of digital disruptive innovation, and has a keen eye on emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and machine learning. After several years working in the financial services sector, he strongly believes that electronic payment technologies will provide the needed catalyst for the transformation of businesses, empower governments and ensure true financial inclusion in Africa.

Mr. Pianim brings to any project a unique set of skills carefully honed over the years. His skills-set include business development, strategy, business & customer intelligence, project management, database direct marketing, and alternate distribution using digital innovation.

After his university education, Kofi started work as a business consultant/analyst with a technology firm in Accra and was involved with several projects across several industries.

He holds a master’s degree from the GIMPA Graduate Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Statistics from the University of Ghana, Legon. He has also attended several professional seminars locally and abroad. He enjoys playing squash and loves reading. Kofi Pianim is married with three children.
