Ms. Selormey is a retired banker who currently consults on an as needed basis for various business; follows her passion in the real estate industry and engages in charity work especially in the field of education.

Prior to this, she was the Managing Director/CEO of Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) where she created the current brand and managed the transition from the Old Merchant Bank to what it is today. A seasoned banker with over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, starting with Ecobank Ghana at its inception in 1990 and rising through the ranks to managing units across 33 African countries for Ecobank, her experience includes working with both Fidelity Bank and Zenith Bank both as an Executive director to assist with their entry into the Ghanaian Banking Sector.

Since her retirement, besides consulting, she has been engaged in speaking assignments for the UN where she’s been invited to present papers both in the United States and in Ghana. As attested to by the rector of GIMPA, Ms Selormey was instrumental in encouraging the setting up of the current and recently launched educational endowment fund for GIMPA. She currently sits on the boards of e-Tranzact Ghana Limited, a regional fintech company, Petra Trust Holding Company and The New Horizon Special School.
